Milani Bella Eyes Review Part 2

Purchased by MeThis is part two of the other four Milani Bella Eyes review. I already did a review for the pinks, purples and teal. You can see part one here. So today I am doing the neutrals. I am a huge sucker for pretty browns so these are great.

Bella Bronze, Bella Copper, Bella Gold and Bella Silver

Bella Bronze

Bella Copper

Bella Gold

Bella Silver

This is in shade with a flash.

This is in direct sunlight.

All four of these are listed as metallics but some are clearly shinier than others. The gold and silver were by far the shiniest. I really love all of these shades though. These are all applied without any primer or lotion. They are much more vibrant with primer on. They are definitely worth the cost. These are available at your local drugstore or on .

So do you have any of these? What do you think of them?

Milani Bella Eyes Review Part 1

Purchased by MeSo I finally managed to get a hold of some of the Milani Bella Eyes. They kept selling out everywhere. I managed to snag 8 colors at my local CVS. I will be reviewing them in two sets of 4. The first set are the purples, pinks and blues.

Bella Violet, Bella Rouge, Bella Teal, and Bella Rose

Bella Violet

This is listed as a shimmer. It does have a little shine but not outrageous.

Bella Rouge

This is listed as a metallic. It is definitely shiny!

Bella Teal

This is listed as a metallic too and very shiny. This is the one that lured me in!

Bella Rose

This is listed as a highlighter/shimmer. It was shinier than I expected.

This is in shade with a flash.

This is in direct sunlight.

As you can see they are very colorful and most of them are super shiny. All of these were applied with no primer or lotion underneath. They are even more vibrant when used with a primer. At a price of $4.50-5 each, these are an absolute steal for such a nice quality product. These are available at your local drugstore or on .

Milani Bella Eyes Preview

I have a lot of makeup. I think most of you reading this probably do too. With all of the releases from so many companies, sometimes it is hard to get excited about new stuff because we already all have something similar. I want you let you in on a little secret though. I adore Milani stuff. It is one of the few drugstore brands that I am regularly impressed with. From the second I saw these I was excited about them. They are bright. They are bold. They are not for the makeup shy. They are the new Milani Bella Eyes. I haven’t purchased any yet because they were completely sold out locally so I am waiting to grab these. In the meantime, here is a little preview of what is to come:

These are such beautiful almost neutrals. I am loving the gold. It looks like a super accent color for a lot of other colors I own.

I am a purple eyeshadow addict so these jumped out at me immediately. Brilliant, bold and bright. Great for an adventurous night out.

Now I am normally shy of dark blues because they don’t look spectacular on me, except for when it comes to more bright aquas like Bella Teal. This is probably the one I anticipate the most.

Now for some of the pinks. These look like party pinks to me. Something to wear out with your new little dress for a night out with the girls. The Bella Diamond looks like a great white too.

The great news is that the Bella Eyes come in 30 shades. They are all gel to powder. I will be grabbing a few of these as soon as possible but I was too excited about them not to share. Will you be trying these?

Chinovi Cosmetics Blush Photos and Review

Purchased by MeI received a Chinovi Cosmetics Blush with my Glamour Doll Eyes OTM for May. Honestly, I hadn’t heard of them before getting this blush. The ladies at GDE are always great with promoting other small businesses. I dig that about them 🙂

Chinovi Cosmetics

Chinovi Cosmetics

I received the blush in the color called Vanessa. As you can see it is a warm brick color. This is the type of color that is perfect for summer, especially for our warm toned ladies. It was very smooth and well pigmented. It was a little dark for me so I passed it on to my mom and she adores it. Now that I have tried this I want to go check out other stuff over there! So have you tried any Chinovi Cosmetics? What did you think? I will definitely be exploring with more of their products.

Glamour Doll Eyes May 2014

Purchased by MeI don’t think it is any big secret that I love Glamour Doll Eyes so I am always excited to get their “OTM” (of the month) each month. I forgot to take a picture with everything in it (oops) but I did take it with the beautiful loose pigment eye shadows.

Both photos are taken indoors. The photo above has no flash. The photo below has flash.

The swatches were taken in bright sunlight.

As you can see, once again GDE has sent gorgeous colors. The white color is called Vanilla Unicorn. The bronze color is called Insomnia. The green color is called One Way Ticket. One Way Ticket and Insomnia are super sparkly while Vanilla Unicorn seems to have smaller sparkles in it. I was pleasantly surprised how opaque Vanilla Unicorn was. It’s one of those colors that you could mix with others to light or brighten.

Have you tried GDE products? What do you think? Have a great day!

Maybelline Fit-Me Shine Free Foundation

Free from Maybelline

I received the new Maybelline Fit-Me Shine Foundation from Maybelline to test out and review. I was honestly a little hesitant at this one because I am not really a stick makeup sort of lady. I decided to try it anyway, so here are my thoughts.

First impression before application: The packaging appeals to me because it is sleek and will fit great in my purse. Visually it looks very thick, almost like a stick concealer. There is no obvious scent which is great for sensitive skin.

Thoughts after application: The product is much smoother than it looks. My skin didn’t have that heavy mask feeling you get when you wear some foundations. It feels very soft and velvety. I blended it with my fingers the first day. It turned out alright but a little uneven. The second day I blended it using my flat head buffing brush. It really made a huge difference. It created a perfect medium coverage and helped hide my pores and uneven skin. It dried to a powdery finish and left my face feeling very soft. I didn’t even have to wear a powder with it. I love finding a product that allows me to skip steps!

Thoughts after 8 hours: I am still not shiny after 8 hours which is amazing. I was outside in 100+ degree weather for over an hour and it didn’t get messy on me. It didn’t seem to settle into my pores and fine lines like most do. I have extremely sensitive skin and I haven’t had any problems with this product so far. The product didn’t melt in my purse in the heat either which means this is great for travel or on the go use.

Conclusion: Although this isn’t a full coverage foundation, it really had great staying power. It is also readily available and has a low price point. The color I chose was a tad too yellow on me but very close. I think these sticks would be perfect for foundation contouring. I would love to see more than 12 shades in the future. I would definitely recommend this product. Since then I have purchases another one that was a more perfect color match.

I received this product free of charge from Maybelline via in exchange for my honest review. Please read my disclosure statement for more information.

e.l.f. Mineral Eyeshadow Photos and Review

Purchased by MeI love e.l.f. makeup. It’s inexpensive, has a lot of variety and you can find it easily. The problem is that e.l.f. is really hit or miss for me. Sometimes I just adore their stuff and sometimes I can’t get rid of it fast enough. Luckily one of my newest purchases was a hit. I bought 3 of the new e.l.f. mineral eyeshadow colors. I already have quite a few others that I love but I grabbed Dreamy, Flirty, and Beachy this time.

PTmineralshadows PTmineralshadowswatch

Flirty, Dreamy, Beachy

Aren’t they beautiful?! These are perfect colors for spring to me, especially dreamy and flirty. Super happy I bought these. I have been trying to add more color into my life and not always be stuck in the neutral shadows.

Do you have any of these? What do you think of them?

Glamour Doll Eyes OTM May 2013

I am a huge fan of Glamour Doll Eyes cosmetics. Their loose eye shadows are so beautiful. They are really pigmented and have a huge selection of colors. I received my “of the month” for May the other day. Here is what I received:

Glamour Doll EyesThis is the cute bag that it came in.

Glamour Doll Eyes

All the goodies including Mike and Ikes. They always send a small sweet treat.

Glamour Doll Eyes

Loose eyeshadow samples in Chivalrous and Presumptuous.

Due to recent events in my life I haven’t had time to swatch much. As you can see the blush is very pink. It is super cute when you wear it. I never would have picked out the Presumptuous because I am not a fan of yellow but it looks much different on me. I haven’t tried the others yet.

Hope all is well with everyone. Have a great day!

Glamour Doll Eyes Of The Month March 2013

Greetings! How is everyone today? Today I received my March “Of the Month” from Glamour Doll Eyes. First off, I have to comment about how they send it. I love these little bags. I reuse them for all sorts of things from pot pourri to little gifts for friends. I also enjoy the little candies they always send. They don’t have to but it’s a personal touch that makes me smile. Now we are going to pretend that I didn’t already eat them both. LOL. So without further ado I present my March goodies:

I adore the little bags that they send these in.

All my goodies, sweet included as usual 😀

GDE Eyeshadow in Dreamboat

To be perfect honest when I first opened up Dreamboat the first thought that ran through my head was “Mac ‘n’ Cheese” Powder. It reminds me of the stuff you get in the boxed mac and cheese products. I must admit that made me a little hesitant. Nothing wrong with mac n cheese but I don’t necessarily want it on my eyes. As you can see from my swatches, it looks nothing like that when applied. It’s a beautiful shimmery peachy-orangey-gold. Don’t you love it when I make up colors?! Me too! It really changes color as you move it around. I really love this one.

Kiss My Sass Cosmetics Highlighter in Petticoat

We also received a sample of Kiss My Sass Cosmetics Highlighter in Petticoat. This is more of a light peachy orange. It has a lot less shimmer than Dreamboat and will be a great highlighter especially for warm neutral looks. I have been impressed with all of the KMS products I have tried so far.

Final Verdict: Very happy and pleasantly surprised at the colors I received this month.

Coastal Scents Go Sydney Palette Photos and Review

I recently purchased some of the Go Palettes from Coastal Scents. They are all mini palettes with 12 small shadows in them. This one is Sydney.

I really love this one. The eye shadows are all pigmented and in such pretty colors. They are perfect for spring! I definitely recommend these, especially for the price. Do you like Coastal Scents?
