I recently discovered Luxebox from Loose Button. They were previously a Canadian only subscription but have branched out to us Americans. This is my fall seaonsal box. I was pleasantly surprised by what I received:
The absolutely beautiful box and packaging that it came in.
Schick Hydro Silk Razor: This is a pretty nice razor. It works smoothly but occasionally leaves me with a touch of razor burn.
Vichy Refreshing Face Toner: This stuff rocks. I love it. Great toner without drying my face out. Principessa Beauty Pretty Piede Foot Balm: This is nice foot balm for dry feet. It is smooth with a nice scent.
Orlane firming serum: This works ok, I have only used it twice so it’s really hard to tell. Orlane Super Moisturizer: This works well but has kinda of an odd scent.
Essie Nail Polish in Stylenomics. It is a dark forest green and very pretty. I am a huge Essie fan so I loved getting this. Sally Hansen Salon Effects Nail Polish strips in a gold glitter color. I haven’t tried this color but I have had these before. They work ok but only for one or two days. They look nice though and give you a fancy look without taking forever.
Eyeko Skinny Liquid liner in Black. This is the second one of these I have received. I got one in my Birchbox a few months back and I adore these. They are super black, stay on well and because it is a pen style liner you have a lot of control. Super happy to have a backup!
Overall, this was a really great box. It was packaged beautifully with quality items and I would definitely recommend Luxebox to any beauty queens or those who are looking to get some fun stuff.
I am a member of Influenster. We fill out surveys, try new products and other fun things. I received the Dish Soap Vox Box from them. Honestly I was thinking it would be a boring Vox Box, you know a few tiny samples and stuff. I was pleasantly surprised by what I received:
I got these three full size Palmolive Fresh Infusions Dish Soap. They are really nice looking bottles with pretty clean pictures on them.
Ginger White Tea: This has sort of an muted sweet scent to it. At first I didn’t care much for the scent when I sniffed it out of the bottle, but once I used it I really liked it the best.
Lemon Thyme: This is not a typical lemony dish soap smell. It is fresher somehow. It has a bit of an herbaceous scent.
Lime Basil: This has a strong clean lime scent. I can smell the basil in the background but the lime is the strongest.
After using them for the weekend I can say I would definitely purchase them again. They have a nicely concentrated formula. It is not watery at all. I have also used them for quite a few other things like degreasing the stove and oven, cleaning counters, cleaning the microwave. I have a mild bleach allergy so finding stuff that cleans well without harsh chemicals is always great, especially around food. I would definitely recommend this product. It’s effective, inexpensive, looks attractive and smells delicious!

The lovely people over at Caldrea were kind enough to send me some hand soap samples a few weeks ago. I didn’t get around to trying them until last week. They all had a nice formula. They didn’t dry my hands out either. Very nice product.
Palmarosa Wild Mint: It smells a lot like shampoo to me. Sort of that fresh funky smell.
Basil Blue Sage: This has a very green smell. I can definitely smell the sage but not the basil so much.
Sea Salt Neroli: This has sort of an oceany smell.
Lavender Pine: I don’t like lavender so I passed this one off. Icky.
Ginger Pomelo: This one has a sweet fruity smell to it. Very nice.
Mandarin Vetiver: This has a slight mandarin smell and also some sort of green smell accompanying it. Not bad, not great.

Here is what I received in my Beauty Bar Sample Society Box for September:
CellCeuticals Extremely Gentle Skin Cleanser is amazing. Of all of the sample cleansers I have tried so far on my face, this is my favorite. It is super gentle and I didn’t have any itching, tightness, dryness or any other negative effect from it which never happens except when I use my trusty Cetaphil. The sample was big enough to use for a few weeks too and even over that time I have nothing but wonderful things to say about this. Great product!
Diptyque Philosykos Eau de Toilette was not a good scent for me. I sniffed the container of it and it had an instant recoil effect on me. I am sensitive to scents so I asked my daughter to try it by spraying it outside. Unfortunately she did it with the door open. It is so pungent and aggressive. It is supposed to smell like figs but it doesn’t at all. It has this overpowering green scent, not a nice fruity plant one as advertised. My husband walked into the living room and said what is that horrible smell? Needless to say this was a big miss for me. I think this is one of the few scents I have ever just tossed because I knew I couldn’t stand to smell it ever again.
Borghese B Gloss in Fiore is a nice gloss. It has a pleasant fruity scent to it and glides on smoothly. It is a tiny bit sticky but not too bad. It has a nice shimmer to it. Swatch below.
Stila Smudge Crayon in Smoke. My picture of this is so washed out. I apologize. This is a good product. It glides on smooth and I like the color a lot. Swatch below.
Swatches of the Stila Smudge Stick and the Borghese B Gloss. Pretty aren’t they?!

I just tried some of the new Smartfood Selects that I received from BzzAgent. Here is what I tried:
This is the Smartfood Select Buffalo Cheddar Popcorn. This are loaded with seasoning and nice and crunchy. I am not a big fan of buffalo flavored anything but these were pretty good. They were a bit spicy and one of my daughters ran for water. I don’t mind a little heat so I enjoyed them. Would I purchase them again? Maybe, I am on the fence with these.
These are the Smartfood Selects Feta Herb Hummus Popped Chips and Garlic Tomato Basil Hummus Popped Chips. These were super tasty! The Feta Herb flavor were my favorite item of these three. They were light, airy, crispy and had amazing flavor. They weren’t heavy or greasy. I have already purchased more of these so yes I loved them. The Garlic Tomato flavor had a bit of a pizza taste to me. The kids really loved both flavors.
I have had very little experience with Guerlain. Mostly just admiring their stuff from afar because they have beautiful but pricey products. When you have skin like me you tend to steer clear of pricey because my skin is frequently irritated by fragrance and chemical additives. So you get some great product at home only to rash out when you use it. It’s frustrating and it wastes money. Anyway, I digress. They were giving away samples on their Facebook page so I decided to try and get one of them. Lo and behold, I did. They sent me this beauty:
Guerlain KissKiss Essence de Gloss in 462 Violine
This is one of the best glosses I have ever used. It has amazing pigmentation and shine. It also smells and tastes fruity., not overbearingly so, just slightly. It is smooth and something I will definitely purchase again.
It’s no secret that I am a fan of Jouer Cosmetics. They have good quality products and great customer service. I received some samples from them. Here is what I got.
Jouer Lip Gloss in Mirage
Jouer Lip Gloss in Glisten
Jouer Lip Enhancer conditioning lip treatment
Jouer Glisten is on the left. This is a clear gloss with a bit of shimmer. Perfect to add some shine and shimmer to your lipsticks. Great for layering. Jouer Mirage is on the right. It looks more orange in this picture than it really is. It’s more of a subtle mauve with a smidge of orange undertone. Both were nice and smooth, not too sticky, no taste, no scent and Mirage was well pigmented.
The Jouer Lip Enhancer lip conditioning treatment was nice. It was like a smooth balm in a squeezable lip gloss tube. No scent, no taste, mild shine.

I received two samples from Per-fekt Beauty of their Lip Perfection Gel. Here is what I received:
They were little dollops of the gel in these cute flowers. Both of them are the color Melrose.
This is Melrose in direct sunlight. It is a sheer mauve. Smooth texture, no scent, no taste. I like the formula a lot more than I like the color. I would definitely be interested in purchasing other colors.
I firmly believe what you put inside you effects how the outside of you looks. I am always on the lookout for stuff to improve myself and add some tasty flavor. A few weeks ago I saw a giveaway from Tea Forte. So I signed up for some free samples figuring free stuff is always good. I was pleasantly surprised at the outcome. Here is what I received:
Cherry Marzipan, Green Tea for corrective repair: Love the smell of this one. It had that pretty almond/cherry scent that I enjoy so much.
Cucumber Mint, Green Tea for youth recovery: I don’t like cucumbers so I passed on this one but my son enjoyed it immensely!
Honey Yuzu, Green Tea for natural renewal: This had a nice sweet scent. Seems like the perfect tea when you are feeling unwell. Honey is comforting.
All in all they were great teas. Green tea has a ton of antioxidants and is wonderful for humans. I would purchase these again. Interested in checking these out or trying other flavors like Orchid Vanilla, Bombay Spice or Lemon Sorbetti? Visit Tea Forte at their site to check it all out.
