I haven’t updated with anything in awhile. Sorry, life has been nuts. I got my Nail Art Society subscription package and I really loved it this month. Here is what I got:
We received 6 KISS items plus some inserts on how to use them with suggestions and inspiration for pretty manicures.
- KISS Nail Dress in KDS02 (neon polka dots)
- KISS Nail Artist Flat Stickers (flowers and vines)
- KISS Nail Artist 3D Charms with glue (bows, butterflies, hearts, etc)
- KISS Nail Artist Paint and Stencil Set (orange, yellow and purple glitter)
- KISS Nail Dress in KDS15 (black with gold dot swirls)
- KISS Marbleizing Pen and Polish (3 purples)
I was very pleased with my items this month, especially the marbleizing pen/polish. I hadn’t tried those yet. My daughter squeed at the neon nail dress and promptly begged for them.

Yesterday was a very somber day for us. Our beloved guinea pig, Miss Piggie died.
She was very silly and loved to play with the kids. We are all quite heartbroken about it. She will be missed. We love you Miss Piggie.
It’s that time again. My Starbox is here! For those that don’t know, it is a monthly subscription that sends you Starlooks products to try out. The catch is that you get full sized items! So, without further ado I present my March box:
Our cute box is brown with blue text and a gold bow this time.
The March Look insert
We got a code for eye goodies! YAY!
All the goodies
All of the goodies opened
Starlooks Lipstick in Flutter: This is a beautiful frosty copper. It is a very warm color. The lipstick formula is a little grainy but not uncomfortable. It has great coverage in one swipe.
This is Starlooks Eye Shadow in Disarray. It is a dark navy but appears mostly gray with a hint of a navy undertone. It only has the tiniest bit of sparkle and is almost matte. It was well pigmented and would be absolutely perfect for a dark blue smokey eye.
This is Starlooks Vanilla Lip Sugar. It is a lip exfoliant and was included as an extra surprise. I like surprises! I opened this up and caught the smell of sugar cookies. It really smells so good. It felt good on my lips when I tried it. It wasn’t too rough or drying.
Ah, finally. The elusive Starlooks Lengthening mascara has made its way into our box. I think a lot of makeup junkies have been hoping for this. The tube is huge and heavy, probably the heaviest I own. It went on smoothly and has a nice full brush to really pull those lashes up. I didn’t have goopy problems with it. Have to try this out for a few more days before I make my final decision on this one.

Greetings! How is everyone today? Today I received my March “Of the Month” from Glamour Doll Eyes. First off, I have to comment about how they send it. I love these little bags. I reuse them for all sorts of things from pot pourri to little gifts for friends. I also enjoy the little candies they always send. They don’t have to but it’s a personal touch that makes me smile. Now we are going to pretend that I didn’t already eat them both. LOL. So without further ado I present my March goodies:
I adore the little bags that they send these in.
All my goodies, sweet included as usual 😀
GDE Eyeshadow in Dreamboat
To be perfect honest when I first opened up Dreamboat the first thought that ran through my head was “Mac ‘n’ Cheese” Powder. It reminds me of the stuff you get in the boxed mac and cheese products. I must admit that made me a little hesitant. Nothing wrong with mac n cheese but I don’t necessarily want it on my eyes. As you can see from my swatches, it looks nothing like that when applied. It’s a beautiful shimmery peachy-orangey-gold. Don’t you love it when I make up colors?! Me too! It really changes color as you move it around. I really love this one.
Kiss My Sass Cosmetics Highlighter in Petticoat
We also received a sample of Kiss My Sass Cosmetics Highlighter in Petticoat. This is more of a light peachy orange. It has a lot less shimmer than Dreamboat and will be a great highlighter especially for warm neutral looks. I have been impressed with all of the KMS products I have tried so far.

Final Verdict: Very happy and pleasantly surprised at the colors I received this month.
I recently purchased a Skin79 BB cream for the first time. After reading their chart I decided on the Intense Classic Formula.
I am used to American BB creams so this one was vastly different. It was definitely lighter than I expected. When I first put it on I looked pale. It was very smooth but didn’t feel very moisturizing. I did like the way it made my face feel, very smooth. After about 15 minutes the whiteness seemed to subside as well. It definitely helped with my oil control and I didn’t have any shine problems all day. I ended up liking this a lot and have worn it a lot. I am curious to test out their other formulas as well. This one suits me pretty well though so it might be a bit before I take that plunge.
I recently purchased some of the Go Palettes from Coastal Scents. They are all mini palettes with 12 small shadows in them. This one is Sydney.
I really love this one. The eye shadows are all pigmented and in such pretty colors. They are perfect for spring! I definitely recommend these, especially for the price. Do you like Coastal Scents?
A couple of weeks ago I ordered some stuff from E.L.F. I saw this cute purple palette so I thought I would give it a shot.
While these eye shadows are beautiful in the pan, they lack pigment. I had to put a lot on my arm just to get these colors. The darkest color has a lot of fallout too. I really wanted to like this but in all honesty, I can’t recommend it. Maybe ELF will reformulate it at some point. Until then I will be steering clear of these quads.
A few weeks ago I purchase theBalm’s Nude ‘Tude palette on Hautelook. They have big sales where you can usually get at least 50% off of the regular price. Well I have been wanting this palette for awhile so I took the plunge finally. Here are some photos:
Above: In Sunlight. Below: Indoors
Sassy, Stubborn, Selfish
Sophisticated, Sexy, Serious
Above: In Sunlight. Below: Indoors
Snobby, Stand-offish, Sultry
Seductive, Silly, Sleek
I am really impressed with this palette. Actually I am really impressed with all theBalm products. I have yet to get a bad one. These shadows are super pigmented and very soft. This is definitely worth the purchase.
I have recently discovered and fallen in love with KB Shimmer polishes. Here is one of my favorites called Iris My Case. It is the perfect spring color. Doesn’t it look like a little lilac Easter egg?
This polish was very smooth and easy to apply. This is two coats plus top and base coat. KB Shimmer is an indie company. Their polishes are “3-free” and have a wide brush.
I received my February Starlooks Starbox today. Here is what I received:
The February Starbox is a Special Edition with Lauren Clark.
I opened it up to find this beautiful insert.
My goodies all boxed up with a little book of Lauren wearing the products, making makeup suggestions and telling all about her.
My new goodies! What a cute girlie themed box. We received the following:
- Starlooks Lip Pencil in Tipsy
- Starlooks Infinity Liner in Princess Diaries
- Starlooks Lip Gloss in Pink Oasis
- Starlooks HD Fluid Blush in Barbie.
- Tipsy Lip Liner: This goes on smooth and is very well pigmented. Love their liners!
- Princess Diaries Infinity Liner is a gorgeous light, shimmery pink cream eye liner. It goes on nice and smooth.
- Pink Oasis Lip Gloss is a light pink with lots of shimmer. It is not too sticky.
Barbie HD Fluid Blush: What can I say? This stuff is outrageously pigmented and quite thick. My advice, only use a tiny bit for a great feminine cheek. It isn’t all sparkly and I love how smooth it is.
All in all Marci and the Starlooks crew hit it out of the park for me this month. One of the best memberships out there. What do you think of Starlooks? Have you tried it?
