Milani Bella Eyes Review Part 2

Purchased by MeThis is part two of the other four Milani Bella Eyes review. I already did a review for the pinks, purples and teal. You can see part one here. So today I am doing the neutrals. I am a huge sucker for pretty browns so these are great.

Bella Bronze, Bella Copper, Bella Gold and Bella Silver

Bella Bronze

Bella Copper

Bella Gold

Bella Silver

This is in shade with a flash.

This is in direct sunlight.

All four of these are listed as metallics but some are clearly shinier than others. The gold and silver were by far the shiniest. I really love all of these shades though. These are all applied without any primer or lotion. They are much more vibrant with primer on. They are definitely worth the cost. These are available at your local drugstore or on .

So do you have any of these? What do you think of them?

Glamour Doll Eyes May 2014

Purchased by MeI don’t think it is any big secret that I love Glamour Doll Eyes so I am always excited to get their “OTM” (of the month) each month. I forgot to take a picture with everything in it (oops) but I did take it with the beautiful loose pigment eye shadows.

Both photos are taken indoors. The photo above has no flash. The photo below has flash.

The swatches were taken in bright sunlight.

As you can see, once again GDE has sent gorgeous colors. The white color is called Vanilla Unicorn. The bronze color is called Insomnia. The green color is called One Way Ticket. One Way Ticket and Insomnia are super sparkly while Vanilla Unicorn seems to have smaller sparkles in it. I was pleasantly surprised how opaque Vanilla Unicorn was. It’s one of those colors that you could mix with others to light or brighten.

Have you tried GDE products? What do you think? Have a great day!

Starlooks Starbox March 2013 Photos & Review

It’s that time again. My Starbox is here! For those that don’t know, it is a monthly subscription that sends you Starlooks products to try out. The catch is that you get full sized items! So, without further ado I present my March box:

Our cute box is brown with blue text and a gold bow this time.

The March Look insert

We got a code for eye goodies! YAY!

All the goodies

All of the goodies opened

Starlooks Lipstick in Flutter: This is a beautiful frosty copper. It is a very warm color. The lipstick formula is a little grainy but not uncomfortable. It has great coverage in one swipe.

This is Starlooks Eye Shadow in Disarray. It is a dark navy but appears mostly gray with a hint of a navy undertone. It only has the tiniest bit of sparkle and is almost matte. It was well pigmented and would be absolutely perfect for a dark blue smokey eye.

This is Starlooks Vanilla Lip Sugar. It is a lip exfoliant and was included as an extra surprise. I like surprises! I opened this up and caught the smell of sugar cookies. It really smells so good. It felt good on my lips when I tried it. It wasn’t too rough or drying.

Ah, finally. The elusive Starlooks Lengthening mascara has made its way into our box. I think a lot of makeup junkies have been hoping for this. The tube is huge and heavy, probably the heaviest I own. It went on smoothly and has a nice full brush to really pull those lashes up. I didn’t have goopy problems with it. Have to try this out for a few more days before I make my final decision on this one.

Coastal Scents Go Sydney Palette Photos and Review

I recently purchased some of the Go Palettes from Coastal Scents. They are all mini palettes with 12 small shadows in them. This one is Sydney.

I really love this one. The eye shadows are all pigmented and in such pretty colors. They are perfect for spring! I definitely recommend these, especially for the price. Do you like Coastal Scents?

Starlooks December 2012 Starbox Photos

Woohoo! I got my much anticipated Starbox today. Last month a few people had a problem with their shadows being a little damaged from shipping. I am happy to report mine showed up this month in perfect condition. Here is what I received:

It came in a cute dark pink box with gold ribbon.

I opened it up to find this pretty insert as well as iridescent glittery pieces that looked like snow.

The palette inside it’s box. I like the windows on the box so I can see the colors without taking it out.

Here is the long anticipated palette. Beautiful isn’t it? I really like how there are 3 of each shade. This was definitely worth the price of this month! I always enjoy my Starboxes.

Ipsy November Box 2012 Photos and Review

I am subscribed to IPSY, a monthly beauty sampling service. Here is what I received for November:

These always come shipped in a bright pink mailer but for some reason I couldn’t find mine when I went to photograph it. Most of you have seen them on my previous Ipsy (formerly MyGlam) posts. Everything came tucked into this shiny brown bag.

This is Chella Eyebrow Defining Gel. The gel is clear and goes on smooth. It makes your brows look darker while keeping them in place.I didn’t even realize I wanted this stuff but I have to admit, it makes my brows look nicer.

In my original bag I received this and it appeared to be empty. At the prompting of a Makeup Talk forum member, I removed the stopper in the top to see if that was just brushing it all off. It wasn’t, it was empty. I notified Ipsy and they sent me out a new one right away that is nice and full. +1 for great customer service.

This is theBalm’s Meet Matt(e) Eyeshadow. It is a medium brown that is buildable. Perfect for a brown smokey eye. Adorable packaging too!

This is Nailtini’s Nail Lacquer in Millionaire.  I wasn’t even aware of this brand before I received this. Let me tell you the picture does not do this justice. This is a clear base with rose gold micro glitter along with gold and teal long bars of glitter. It is just gorgeous.

This is Starlet’s Intense Eyeliner in Chocolate. It is pretty straightforward. Medium brown eye liner that lasts quite well. Nice product.

This is bareMinerals Marvelous Moxie in Dare Devil. It has a sweet scent but I can’t decide if it is fruity or slightly chocolatey. Either way it smells nice. It feels minty on your lips and goes on quite smoothly. I actually stuck this in my purse for on the go use.

Starbox September Photos and Review

I received my Starbox from Starlooks today. Here is what I received:

Pretty white box with a silver bow

Starlooks Eyeshadow Primer

Starlooks Monographic 5 shade shadow palette

Inside of the palette

Swatches of the palette

Little gems for your eyes

As you can see we got some awesome stuff. I am still testing the Eyeshadow Primer but will get back to you on that. I used it under the swatches on my arm.

The palette is wonderful. At first look they all looked like different colors of the same type of mild shimmer shadow. Once I swatched them I saw a much bigger difference in color as well as finish. The yellow and green on the ends have more shimmer than the others. The pink and purple are more solid colors with only a hint of shimmer and the blue is somewhere between the two types. These will come in handy for lighter looks as well as highlighting.

We also got tiny gems for our eyes. I always admire the ladies that have jeweled eyes so I guess this is my turn to try it.

All in all I am really pleased with this month. Interested in Starbox? Check them out here.

Ulta Haul

Last month I purchased some stuff from Ulta. I even took pictures and everything and then forgot to post it. Silly me. I bought a foundation and eyeliner. I received a gift with purchase which included the bag and it’s contents. Anyway, here is what I got.

Ulta Fabulous Face Foundation in Nude Beige

This is Ulta Fabulous Face Natural Finish Foundation in Nude Beige. I swatched it on my arm so you could see the color better. The formula is ok. It’s not my favorite but it’s not bad. I put it away to use for a backup.

This is Ulta Automatic Eyeliner in Teal Blue. I am such a sucker for this sort of blue with a touch of green. Definitely glad I bought this.

These are the samples I received with my order. The Taylor Swift Wonderstruck was pretty nice. It was very, very fruity. It smelled a lot like a berry pie. I don’t normally wear fruit scents but it was still nice. Laura Geller Spackle: haven’t tried this yet. Benefit Hello Flawless: haven’t tried this yet either.

This is the bag my gift with purchase came in. I got the Mystic Collection. It flips open and unzips. It’s a really cute bag.

Here is what was in the bag:

  • Ulta Instant Nourish Facial Moisturizer: Your average moisturizer, works ok, good size for a purse.
  • Ulta Lipcolor in Goodyear for Wine: This lipstick is really pretty. I am a sucker for reds and dark berries. This is something I will definitely use. (swatch below)
  • Two Ulta Quads: The colors are pretty on these but they are only so so as far as pigmentation goes. I will probably give these to my daughters.
  • Ulta Polish in Femme Fatale: This is a nice burgundy color, perfect for fall. The formula is ok.
  • Ulta Blush in Adore: This is a medium brown with a hint of pink. Once again, a nice color for fall.
  • Ulta Super Shiny Lipgloss in Stellar: This is a nice light color for fall when you want a more subtle look. No flavor, no scent.
  • Ulta Dual Ended Liner in Dark Brown and Black: I haven’t tried this yet because I rarely use pencils anymore.
  • Ulta Legendary Lengths Mascara in black: This is a pretty nice mascara. It wasn’t clumpy at all and didn’t bother my eyes.
  • Three Ulta Brushes: These were only ok. They aren’t as good as the brushes I am used to using. I passed them onto my little girls.

Now for a couple of swatches. The lipgloss is on the left with the lipstick on the right.

So what do you think? I was only so so about this haul. I got most of it free so that’s ok. I really like the lippies and the teal liner a lot. Ciao for now!
