I recently discovered Luxebox from Loose Button. They were previously a Canadian only subscription but have branched out to us Americans. This is my fall seaonsal box. I was pleasantly surprised by what I received:
The absolutely beautiful box and packaging that it came in.
Schick Hydro Silk Razor: This is a pretty nice razor. It works smoothly but occasionally leaves me with a touch of razor burn.
Vichy Refreshing Face Toner: This stuff rocks. I love it. Great toner without drying my face out. Principessa Beauty Pretty Piede Foot Balm: This is nice foot balm for dry feet. It is smooth with a nice scent.
Orlane firming serum: This works ok, I have only used it twice so it’s really hard to tell. Orlane Super Moisturizer: This works well but has kinda of an odd scent.
Essie Nail Polish in Stylenomics. It is a dark forest green and very pretty. I am a huge Essie fan so I loved getting this. Sally Hansen Salon Effects Nail Polish strips in a gold glitter color. I haven’t tried this color but I have had these before. They work ok but only for one or two days. They look nice though and give you a fancy look without taking forever.
Eyeko Skinny Liquid liner in Black. This is the second one of these I have received. I got one in my Birchbox a few months back and I adore these. They are super black, stay on well and because it is a pen style liner you have a lot of control. Super happy to have a backup!
Overall, this was a really great box. It was packaged beautifully with quality items and I would definitely recommend Luxebox to any beauty queens or those who are looking to get some fun stuff.
Beauty Bar occasionally does a promotion where they have special items or boxes on sale. I managed to get in on the latest one. Here is what I received:
Contents of the box:
Burt’s Bees Richly Replenishing Cocoa & Cupuacu Butters Body Lotion: This stuff smells great and is smooth and rich.
Burt’s Bees Tinted Lip Balm in Red Dahlia: Very sheer color mixed with wonderful Burt’s Bees balm. Love it.
StriVectin Tightening Neck Cream: I haven’t tried this yet because it has a bad smell. I will update it after I use it a few times.
IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Concealer: This stuff works great, but it is super thick. I squeezed a tiny bit out and it was way too much. Nice product though.
Dr. T’s Supergoop All-Over Everyday UV Lotion SPF 30: This works good and seems almost sweatproof. It does have a familiar smell to it. I reminds me of the old Coppertone sunscreens my mom used to put on me as a child.
Sally Hansen SalonEffects Nail Color Strips in Animal Instinct x2: My daughters are after these so I probably won’t get a hold of them lol
L’Occitane Lavender Hand Cream:This stuff smells like lavender big time and I dislike lavender so I will be passing it on to my mom. The cream itself was very rich and smooth.
Maybelline New York Instant Age Rewind: This stuff works good as long as you blend it in really well. Would use again.
Shine by Heidi Klum: I didn’t care for the perfume Shine much. It smells unpleasant in the bottle and even worse on me.
L’Oreal Paris Voluminous False Fiber Lashes: This was nice mascara. It wasn’t too goopy or dry. The wand was quite long but I ended up liking how it looked.
L’Oreal Paris Youth Code Serum Intense: I was really surprised by just how much I liked the L’Oreal Youth Code serum. It is a super light anti-aging serum that makes my face feel wonderfully soft.
Have you tried any of these products? What did you think? Have a great day 🙂
Disclaimer: These products were purchased with my own money and I received no money or compensation for my honest opinion.
A couple of months ago I purchased four shades of the Sally Hansen Magnetic Polish. It was one of those things when you buy something because the display looks awesome. I have put off trying it because I figured I would probably mangle the manicure. Well I could not have been more wrong! The formula was thick but smooth. It was super easy to use and I love how it looks. What do you think?
I have three other colors that I need to swatch and now I am excited about them!
